When a supplier went into liquidation mid-booking, Hannah didn’t wait for someone else to fix it. She rebuilt the entire trip herself.
Hannah Symonds joined JLT in November 2023 with a clear niche in mind: cruises. Her husband inspired her to take the leap into travel, and since then, she’s reached £250k in bookings with her sights set on £500k.
Travel Niche & Style
Hannah’s world is cruises. She’s built her client base around people who want that sailing experience done well. But she doesn’t stop there. Her South Africa trip planning stands out as one of her favourites because of how many different elements came together. Safari, scenery, logistics. All of it.
What sets Hannah apart? She puts it simply: “I care for my clients and take a general interest in what they want.” She listens, learns what matters to each person, and builds trips around that.
And her tip for cruise clients? Magnetic hooks. Handy for cabin organisation and one of those small details clients remember.
The JLT Journey So Far

Since joining in late 2023, Hannah has learned that travel is far bigger than she first imagined. “There are so many elements to it,” she says. That curiosity keeps her learning.
Her next goal is clear: hit £500k in sales.
Her favourite tool within JLT? QQ. It’s become part of her daily workflow and helps her keep things running smoothly.
A Booking That Tested Everything
Hannah’s proudest moment wasn’t a smooth one. It was messy and stressful. And that’s exactly why it stands out.
She’d booked her first Dream Package for clients. Everything was set. Then the supplier company went into liquidation.
Hannah re-booked the entire trip from scratch. She handled every detail. And then she contacted her clients to explain what had happened and what she’d done to sort it.
Rebooking during a supplier liquidation became one of her biggest learning moments. It also became the booking she’s most proud of.
Words of Wisdom

When asked what she’d tell someone on the fence about joining, Hannah said: “The community within JLT is amazing and everyone helps everyone.”
That support matters. Especially when things go sideways. Hannah found that community, leaned into it, and came out stronger.
Her dream destinations? The Maldives and Italy. Whether she’s sending clients or going herself, those are on the list.
