The travel planner bridging the French Alps and India, one connection at a time.
Meet Rikesh from AlpsIndia, based in Chambéry in the heart of the French Alps. He joined JLT in December 2025 and is already showing the kind of passion that makes someone stand out before they’ve even made their first booking.
“I was inspired to become a travel agent because I live in such a wonderful region of France and feel there is so much to see here,” Rikesh shares. With five years of local knowledge under his belt and growing French language skills, he’s building something meaningful.
Travel Niche & Personal Touch
Rikesh has a clear mission: bring more people to the French Alps and take French people to India and the UK. But what makes his approach different is his focus on accessibility.
“My aim is to attract travellers from BAME communities and help break down existing language barriers.”
His connection to India runs deep. Four visits have turned into genuine relationships across different regions of the country. Now, he wants to bridge these two worlds and create experiences that feel personal, not packaged.
With a solid sales background, Rikesh understands the customer journey from start to finish. His personal touch? Local knowledge you can only get from someone who lives it every day.
The JLT Journey So Far

Rikesh is currently working through his training, which he describes as “easy to follow.” No bookings yet, but that’s the point of this stage. Learning, learning, learning.
His goal for the next 12 months? One booking per week. It’s the kind of steady, realistic target that shows someone is thinking like a business owner.
“The support of the team has been great so far.”
A Moment That Showed His Potential
Before JLT, Rikesh gave us a glimpse of what he’s capable of.
For his 40th birthday, he organised 16 people to travel to the French Alps for a skiing weekend. He arranged everything: flights, accommodation, ski hire. The whole lot.
“It was a great memory and everyone had a good time.”
That’s not someone who dabbles. That’s someone who delivers.
Words of Wisdom

When asked for advice, Rikesh keeps it simple and honest:
“Go for it.”
And in true Rikesh style, he adds: “Always take a tea flask with you. You never know when you might fancy a cuppa with some biscuits.”
We’re cheering for you, Rikesh. Here’s to what’s next!
