The East Yorkshire agent who backed herself, built something real, and has £88,000 in bookings to show for it.
You can tell when someone genuinely cares about their clients. It comes through in the details, in the follow-through, and in the way they talk about the work. Victoria Rimmington of Hop On Board Travel is one of those people. She joined JLT in July 2025, and what stands out to me about her journey is not the numbers (though they are impressive) — it is the intention behind everything she does.
Travel Niche & Personal Touch
Victoria does not limit herself to one category. Her approach is about creating the right holiday for the right person, though she has a natural pull toward USA and Florida trips. Families chasing bucket-list experiences, clients who want something more considered and more tailored than a standard package — these are the people she loves working with.
Her brand, Hop On Board Travel, centres around Smokey, her real-life bunny rabbit who doubles as the company mascot. It gives the business an immediate warmth that clients hold onto. But behind that personality, there is real care and attention to detail. Victoria treats every booking as if it is her own holiday, and she is there from the first conversation to the final day.
The JLT Journey So Far

Victoria always wanted to work in travel. As a teenager, the dream was to become a holiday rep. Her disabilities meant that path did not feel open to her at the time, so she set the idea aside. What I love about her story is the way she found her own route in. Becoming a travel agent gave her that, and her own lived experiences have shaped how she works. She is more patient, more considered, and more determined to get things right for every single client.
Since joining JLT in July 2025, Victoria has booked £88,000 worth of holidays. She is building on relationships, not volume, and her goal for Hop On Board Travel is clear: to be the first name people think of when they are ready to book.
A Booking That Changed Things
One booking tells you a lot about the kind of agent Victoria is. A £13,000 enquiry came in from a complete stranger at the other end of the country. No shared history, no referral from a mutual contact. A client who had found her and decided to put their trust in her.
“It was not about the value of the booking,” Victoria says. “It was the trust. They did not know me personally, but they trusted me with a big trip. That meant everything.”
Every detail was right. Every question was answered. That is the kind of agent Victoria is — someone who rises to the moment. It is the kind of story that reminds me why we do what we do in JLT.
Words of Wisdom

Victoria does not dress it up when asked what she would say to someone sitting on the fence.
“Life is too short,” she says. “If it is something you want to do, go for it. Travel takes hard work, determination, and the ability to adapt fast. But if you are willing to put the effort in, it is incredibly rewarding.”
She also holds onto this: every day is a school day. The industry moves fast, and Victoria leans into that rather than fighting it.
We’re Cheering You On, Victoria!
