What’s Coming Back

Walt Disney World has announced the return of Cool Kids’ Summer, a seasonal celebration designed specifically for families with younger children. Running for over three months from late May through early September, the initiative puts the spotlight on character experiences, family-friendly entertainment, and some useful money-saving offers that make Florida feel a bit more manageable for budget-conscious families.

The programme touched down last year for the first time and clearly worked well enough to warrant a second run. This time around, the offers are equally compelling—particularly the headline deal that turns a four-night stay into six.

The Money Bit

The Money Bit

Here’s where it gets interesting for your clients. Families booking a four-night, four-day Walt Disney Travel Company package (or longer) receive two free room nights and two free theme park days. That’s six days at the resort for the price of four, which represents a substantial saving for families trying to make the numbers work.

There’s also free water park admission on check-in day for anyone staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be operating throughout the period, giving families a proper break from the theme parks without additional cost.

The free Disney Dining Plan for children aged 3-9 (when parents purchase a plan) applies throughout 2026, not just during Cool Kids’ Summer. For families with multiple children, that adds up quickly. Select Disney Resort hotels are offering up to 30% savings for stays between early May and early October, though availability varies.

The Booking Angle

The catch—if you can call it that—is the booking window. Clients need to book between 6 January and 15 February 2026 to qualify for the free nights offer. The deal applies to most nights between 26 May and 15 September, giving UK families options for half-term breaks and summer holidays.

Four properties have been designated as “Cool Kids’ Summer Resorts” with enhanced experiences: Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans Riverside. These hotels feature scheduled character visits and activities specifically planned for families with young children. It’s worth mentioning when clients are choosing where to stay.

The programming spans all four theme parks. Magic Kingdom has Toy Story experiences, EPCOT features GoofyCore dance games (whatever those might be), and Animal Kingdom is hosting Bluey and Bingo meet-and-greets. Hotel guests also get character experiences during Early Theme Park Entry, which adds value to staying on property.

Test Track at EPCOT and Soarin’ are getting refreshes, joining existing favourites like Frozen Ever After and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. Last year, participating resorts handed out complimentary welcome bags with activity materials for children aged 3-9, along with themed maps highlighting child-focused activities around the parks.

Agent Advantage Insight

The February 15 booking deadline creates natural urgency without you having to manufacture it. Frame this as early planning for summer holidays, and the free nights offer practically sells itself to families still weighing up their options.
