Silver Muse has completed its first major dry dock since 2017, and she’s come back with Silversea’s acclaimed S.A.L.T. culinary program onboard. Capacity has increased from 596 to 632 guests, with new Medallion Suites, redesigned public spaces, and a pool deck that now includes a pickleball court.
The ship departed on her first post-refurb voyage in late December on a 14-night Mediterranean sailing from Barcelona to Lisbon. Silver Spirit is next in line for similar upgrades later in 2026.
The Practical Bit
Silver Muse spent her time at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard being thoroughly reimagined. The 40,700-ton vessel now hosts 632 guests with a crew of 415, and the changes go well beyond a fresh coat of paint.
The new Medallion Suites come with verandas, double vanities, bathtubs, walk-in showers, and king-size beds. Public spaces have been refreshed throughout, and the pool deck now features a putting green and simulator experience alongside that pickleball court.
The headline addition is S.A.L.T., Silversea’s immersive culinary program that connects regional cuisine with destination. Silver Muse now features both S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar, serving destination-inspired menus and regionally produced cocktails.
Quick Context on S.A.L.T.

If you’ve not come across S.A.L.T. before, think of it as culinary travel that happens to take place on a ship. The concept (Sea and Land Taste, for those tracking acronyms) builds menus around the places the ship visits, using local ingredients, cooking traditions, and flavours.
It gives guests a taste of place before they step ashore, or extends that connection once they’re back onboard. For clients who book trips around restaurant reservations and food tours, it fits naturally into how they already travel.
The S.A.L.T. Bar adds another layer, with cocktails that follow the same regional thinking.
For Your Client Conversations
This refurbishment gives you something tangible to talk about with clients who already know Silversea, or who’ve been considering it. The S.A.L.T. program is the obvious lead for food-focused travellers who want more than the standard cruise dining rotation.
The increased capacity is worth noting without overselling it. Yes, there are 36 more guests onboard, but this remains intimate by any measure. The new suite categories offer fresh options for clients who want specific amenities.
Silver Spirit is up next for similar treatment later this year, also in Palermo. If you’ve got clients booked on Spirit for late 2026 or beyond, it’s worth flagging they’ll experience the upgraded version.
The Helpful Bit for Your Business

If food is how your client chooses a holiday, this gives you a straightforward conversation starter. The S.A.L.T. addition, combined with new suite options and refreshed spaces, creates something easy to explain and worth recommending.
